The Lord Admiral of Freeport is the ruler of the Cove of Freeport. Historically the title was simply Captain of Freeport and was elected by the people however since the Admiralty Establishment Edict of 15 SA the Lord Admiral is the chief executive of Freeport and is elected by the Sea Senate.

Each Lord Admiral of Freeport is elected by the Sea Senate after the death or removal of the previous.
