The King of Hyspia is the absolute authority of the Kingdom of Hyspia. The title was founded by Cesar I after he issued the Declaration of Hyspian Nationalism within the wildlands of Arcas.

House of Rivera

Unsurprisingly, the first ruling dynasty of the Kingdom of Hyspia was the House of Rivera, which Cesar had also founded. It is currently the main ruling family of Hyspia, though historically other Hyspian families have attempted to contest this

House of Altamirano

For a brief moment during the Hyspian Schism, House Altamirano claimed the title due to religious reasons. After the schism and Francisco Altamirano's death, the title again returned to the House of Rivera uncontested

House of Rivera

Following the deaths of both Antonio de Rivera and Francisco Altamirano, the crown passed to Cesar de Rivera II which reaffirmed de Rivera control over Hyspia. Following a few years of holding the title, it was dissolved for the first time by Cesar de Rivera II, who demoted the Kingdom to a Archduchy and left the seat of King vacant for the years to come.
