Kharak'Raguk

Birth

Kharak was born a Raguk, beneath Daumanlob with a mix of both sands, set in the rising sun, in the lands known as Vailor. As with all Raguk, he was not raised by his biological parents, but was instead taken to the caverns of age, where he and his peers undertook training and teachings in the ways of the Uruk.

Childhood

Like most Uruk, Kharak’s early life was riddled with strife and tribulation. As he was taught to fight and mine, he suffered great pain and understood it as a large component of life. This continued as his peers began to bully him, for he had small horns protruding from his head, which singled him out from the rest.

Teenage Years

This contrast to his peers became even more stark when he lost his left eye during a mining incident. As he was chipping away at a ceiling, a large chunk of sharp rock suddenly fell and wedged its way into his pupil.

This lead to further mocker, and Kharak began to develop a deep insecurity. One that would propel him forward, and provide him with a desire to prove himself.

Early Adulthood

Kharak’s strive for greatness came to new heights as he came into early adulthood, being one of the few Raguk to rise to the surface. He breathed in fresh air for the first time, and with it, a fresh perspective. As he looked out upon the endless horizon, the limits of his desires expanded.

The sights and sounds bewildered him as he came to understand the Uzg, and he soon set off in search of the Krug-hai. Kharak would prove to be a useful raider under the command of the Rex at the time, Kahn’Braduk.

He was eager to prove himself, and began to lead raiding parties to the settlements of the Edict, the Snow Elves, and the High Elves.. He dealt great blows to their armouries and their people, often raiding the Edict in particular, in search of their elusive Whitewash leader.

When it came to War, Kharak fought alongside his brothers as they wiped the sinister Snow Elves from existence. The Genocide became a turning point in Kharak’s progression, as he came to understand the combined might of the children of Krug.

With experience under his belt, he returned to the caverns of the Raguk, making his way immediately to the current Wargoth, and challenging him in single combat.

He arose the victor, and brought many more Raguk kind to the surface, where they would begin to dominate the Uzg.

Kharak noted many issues with the Raguk, and began to reform the culture.

However, he held dear to the notion that life without the Spirits was possible. The Raguk did not often worship the Spirits, let alone discuss them outside of private quarters. Kharak knew very little of them, and in his arrogance, decided he would attain Rexdom without their assistance.

During a failed raid lead by the current Dominus, Eath’Lur, Kharak challenged him in a fit of rage, earning the title for himself. Once he had achieved this, he set in action a series of events that would improve the War Uzg and its land acquisition.

He established several tribute nations, namely those of the Halflings, the island of Hassheld, and Sanctuary. And set out acquiring the surrounding islands of the vast Desert, one of which he claimed for himself.

It would later be referred to as Gâmum'Tok, the Island of Disease.

After Kharak had claimed the last of the islands, he journeyed back to the Raguk Fort, coming across a disheartening sight on his way. One of his mounts, the Myrzym of the Raguk, had been slain while it was grazing. In a fit on anger, Kharak raged toward the Goi of Gundz’Koth, approaching a large group of Orcs and inquiring as to who had committed such a crime.

He noticed his good friend and the current Grubgoth, Wud’Raguk, beating Drokon’Ugluk to the ground, and assumed immediately that it was him. In his youthful arrogance and Bloodlust, he waged a Clan War upon Drokon, and thus began the Clan War of Vailor.

The Raguk had grown to such stature, that when they confronted the Ugluk clan out in the field, they outnumbered the combined alliance of the Ugluk, Gorkil and Lak.

As the armies attacked one another, and third part arrived, the Whitewashed Clan of Azog. The Ugluk alliance and the Raguk turned, stetting aside their quarrels in a sudden devotion to upholding Krug’s Code. They drove the Azog from the Uzg, before returning to the field they had fought upon.

Suddenly, three Dark Shamans appeared, attacking the clans with an onslaught of Dark and cruel Shamanism. The united force of the Uzg felled the Shamans, once again uniting under the banner of the Uzg.

In recognition of this, Kharak’Raguk, then the Dominus of the Uzg, set to work to construct a great citadel, that would house all clans and allow them to prosper under a united effort.

It became known as San’Thraka, after the Yazgurten that had constructed it, Muthraka’Lur. -https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/143289-santhraka-the-orcish-capital/

As Kharak returned to the Raguk Fort, he contemplated his experiences with the Dark Shamans, and the effects they had wrought upon the world. He thought on the Spirits, and soon came a revelation of their importance.

With his world shattered, and his sights set on a Spiritual path, he sought out the Wargoth of the Yar clan, Malog’Yar, who began to teach him the ways of the Witch Doctor. He taught him of the Immortal Spirit, Orgon, and Kharak soon began to follow him in reverence.

The Dominus created a grand shrine to Orgon, that of the entire island he had claimed for himself. He named it Gâmum'Tok, the Island of Disease.

From here he waged war upon the lives of all Descendants that did not share Krug’s blood, and with a newfound confidence, he walked into the halls of San’Thraka, and spoke with the current Rex, Snoop’Azog.

The two fought soon after, and Kharak emerged as the new Rex of the War Uzg, and the first of the Raguk to achieve such a title.

With this new position, he began to expand upon the Plague he had created upon his island. It would serve as protection for the Uzg, so that any armies that attempted to reach the Desert would fall to deep and terrible disease. Sand remained unperturbed by the taint, and so it existed only of the borders of the Uzg, where the land was once fertile.

It spread vast and uncontrollably, a reflection of Kharak’s arrogance in the matter. When the previous Rex, Phaedrus’Yar approached him about the matter, the two dueled to decide the fate of the Plague.

Soon after, the Druids had begun their defiant assaults on the Plague, Kharak was once again challenged by another. This time, his Targoth, Mok’Kahn’Braduk the son of Kharak’s first Rex, Kahn’Braduk.

A great battle waged against the Immortal Spirit himself, Orgon, who had wrought disease even upon those that had assisted in bringing him into Vailor.

The events that preceded this lead to the destruction of the world, and the frightful journey to the islands of Axios.

It was upon these new lands that Kharak discovered the Jungle, and set to work on constructing a new city, one that would be safe from the world. One that would work to restore balance to the Spirits, and bring the Orcs to a new age of prosperity.

Family

None of note.

Personality

Kharak is bold in his youthful arrogance, quick to challenge authority and daring in his aspirations. He is light-hearted among his brothers, but can quickly grow stern and demanding in the face of the other Descendants.

He is driven largely by his insecurity, and deep desire to prove his worth within the Uzg. A desire which has been settled recently, replaced with a want to work with the Spirits, and restore balance to the world.

He holds honor above all things, and seeks to instill this philosophy into the Orcs that serve beneath him in the Uzg.

Recently, his life experiences have taught him to be more relaxed, and so in terms of raiding, and other activities, he will often observe his brothers and sisters, instead of participating. This comes from a desire to see them fulfill their potential, for the progression of the Uzg is his main priority.

Notable Feats

Plagued and destroyed the settlement of Hassheld.

Created the largest shrine to have ever been created, covering an extremely large portion of Vailor in taint and disease.

Brought about the destruction of Vailor through the Immortal Spirit, Orgon.
