The Caliphate of Khalestine, often called The Caliphate, is a large independent nation formed by Faiz Kharadeen. The Caliphate was originally formed in Athera on the northern desert island, this is where its first city of Al-Dirakh was built, after the move to Vailor the people of the Caliphate settle in their new city Al-Wakhrah located a the bottom of the south continent. The official religion of the Caliphate is Iman al-Rashidun also know to the people of the caliphate as the "righteous faith".

Introduction

The Qalasheens were once known as Southerons back in Aegis, later being grouped under the Farfolk category, that also consists of Subudai, Rassids, and Qalasheens. Little was known about them except their exotic look, shorter, leaner, and dark skin colour. There was no known recorded culture, and the first literary mention of the Farfolks were in a Orenian newspaper known as the Verbo Veritatis Newspaper, who quoted a speech rallying the humanity for the then Emperor, Tuvya Carrion against his rebellious Grand Knight, Maric Varodyr. Yet it is despite scarce documentations that the Farfolks have existed for over thousands of years, preceding the Adunians in history.

It was said that the Farfolk were the descendants of Harren, but not of his wood elven wife, Sarai. The Farfolks have never built a settlement on their own, choosing to be nomadic and integrating into existing cultures, proof being the Rassids squatting amongst the ruins of Ard Kerrack, and the Subudai with their tents.

The Qalasheens however are a small gathering of tribes much like the Subudai, who each had various characteristics, but all of them being nomads around the region known as Deus Proditor in Athera. Some were warriors, some were traders, some were animal herders. The exact number of tribes was never found, but large tribes were the Jerez, Krugites, Jharar, Kaneen, Qalash, Hakim, and Khradeen, but only a few survive to this date as families.

It was recorded in the scrolls of the Fifth Prophet that a man known as Faiz Kharadeen, saw the death and destruction of the Qalash clan against the Krugite clan. He prayed to the Creator (or otherwise known as Allah) for guidance, and led the Qalash against their former oppressors in a field battle, emerging victorious, yet granting clemency to their foes.

History however shows that there were many other tribes, and each of them warred with one another. After the defeat of the Krugite clan, Faiz Kharadeen turned his attention towards the Jerez, who fought against him with their sabres and camel archers. Faiz Kharadeen rallied the Kaneen, Qalash, Hakim, and a number of smaller tribes against the Jerez, and forced them to surrender to his will after a night raid upon the Jerez encampment, pointing his sabre against its clan leader. This lead to other mercantile clans such as the Jharar and al-Rhadid to swear fealty to him.

The Clans became known as Qalasheens, and tribes became families. They formed a city amongst the ruins of Deus Proditor, creating a much larger settlement than that of the Rassidis. They called it Al’Dirakh.

Since their relocation to Vailor, they have created a new city, known as Al-Warakh, located upon the southern savannas.

The Qalasheens are known to be relatively easy-going and relaxed, with their belief that ‘a person should only work when they are at their best’. They do not have a history of magic, but with the influx of mages who were chased out of Oren and its Principalities, a few Qalasheens are seen to practice the art of the arcane. They are a social people, who are open to new cultures and ideas, insisting that they bond with guests, friends, and visitors over smoking cactus green, in a unique device known as a hookah. They are banned from consuming alcohol and pork as they believe it is poison, although it does not apply to the non-Qalasheen citizens of the Caliphate.

The Qalasheens have their own written and oral language known as the Qalashi, but it has since fallen wayside since the assimilation of various other nations and races since Anthos. A few common phrases however survive.

Hello/hi! ----- Salam! Peace be upon you!------As-salamu alaykum! [Return gesture] Peace be upon you too. ----- Wa-alaikum salam Good morning!---------- Sabah el kheer Good evening!-------------- Masaa el kheer Welcome! (to greet someone) -----------Marhaban Good night!-------- Tosbeho/tosbeheena (female) ‘ala khair Good bye! ---------------Ma’a salama Thank you (very much)!--------------- Shokran (jazeelan) You’re welcome ---- Afwan Friend--------Rafiqi Hoo-kah ---- Arghila Weed ----- Hasheesh Tobacco ------ Mu'assel/Shisha Coffee ---- Kahwah Tea --------- Chai [Shay] God/Creator ---------- Allah Devil/Iblees ----------- Shai'tan Mosque/Church --------- Masjid God is Great ----------- Subhanallah

They have several celebrations, that being the Day of Fasting and Menaphos. The Day of Fasting occurs at the end of every year for an entire month, to understand the pain of suffering, and to be thankful for what one has in life. Menaphos occurs once every 4 years, to reaffirm friendships and be thankful for those who are in their lives.

The Qalasheens heavily consume lamb and beef, with heavy spices such as sumac and cumin, and they eat only with their hands.
