The Kaedrin conspiracy (Waldenian: Kaedrinverschwörung) is a conspiracy theory that claims that the Commonwealth of Kaedrin, Oren, does not exist and will never exist in the future, but instead is an illusion propagated by various forces. First expressed during the negotiations between the Centralists and Everardines in 1787, the conspiracy has since affected formal policy, and is alluded to occasionally by those adjacent to the Imperial Government.

Synopsis

The conspiracy goes that the Commonwealth of Kaedrin actually ceased to exist after the death of Peter III. Rather, its existence is merely propagated by an entity known as 'THEY', who have conspired with White Rose cultists to create the illusion of Kaedrin's existence. The theory is based on four questions:

I. Do you know anybody from Kaedrin?
II. Have you ever been to Kaedrin?
III. Do you know anyone who has ever been to Kaedrin?
IV. If Kaedrin exists, who is the current King of Kaedrin?

A majority of Orenians are expected to respond 'no' to the first three, and would not know the answer to the last question. Henceforth reaffirming that Kaedrin does not exist. Anyone who claims Kaedrin exists is promptly considered a White Rose cultist or a victim to deception by believers in the conspiracy theory.
