Biography

Early life

Jory was raised as a normal child of a widowed mother, he was a simple smith's apprentice whilst his mother was a tavern wench. When Jory turned 18 his mother sent him to the city of Vjorhelm to find his father Javier Ruric. After a talk with one of Javier's men who would later to be known as, Angus the Fearless, he would come to realize that his father was the King of Norland and he was simply a bastard. He'd then decided to stay in Norland with his father and serve as one of his 5 Bastard Commanders.

Claim to the Throne

Jory assumed power as the King of Norland after the siege and ransacking of Vjorhelm, where his only legitimized brother, Jevan Ruric, would go missing. There was a demand for a new leader by the people of Norland, so Jory, with an agreement among all the other known Rurics and Ashes, called a moot to select a new king. At the Moot, each Ruric and Ash that was running said a speech before voting began, this lead to the voting, where almost every known Ruric and ash would've voted for Jory, with the people of Norland voting for him as well. Jory would then be crowned that following month, crowned with a new throne crown made out of the shards of the Ash Tree in Vjorhelm. Jory then became the Tenth King of Norland.

Reign

Shortly after his coronation Jory, still known as Jory Ash, would declare himself and all his known brothers of Javier Ruric legitimized in the eyes of the Faith as well as the crown. Jory would then go on to fulfill his goal of saving Norland from annihilation. He'd do so by going to speak to his former foe, Leitseig of the Kingdom of Renatus. It is then when he would decide that he would bend the knee to Renatus to save his People from another siege of Vjorhelm. This decision would earn him the title of the King Who Knelt, although it would bring him to share yet another resemblance of his Ancestor, Eirik the Great, who was faced with the same ultimatum and made the same decision. As well as sharing similar looks to his Ancestor, Jory has been believed to be the reincarnation of Eirik himself.

Silversteed Rebellion

Soon after becoming a vassal under the Kingdom of Renatus a man that goes by the name of Avalon Silversteed, fled the Kingdom of Norland and attempted to make many people flee with him. Only convincing a few Avalon began to try and recruit people from the Ashguard, few joined Avalon's rank, Jory became enraged, he ordered that Avalon must vassal under Norland yet again and that they would be noticed as a kingdom under Norland. Avalon refused claiming that he has more men than Norland, and could easily beat them upon the field of battle. Jory simply laughed at this insult and sent a few men that were to bandit the roads of Evermoore, the capital of Arbor. Few years past, Jory challenged Avalon to a duel to the death. The two met only a day or two later and begun the duel. Jory had won, and slew the proclaimed king Avalon. This duel marked the end of the Silversteed rebellion
