When she was sixteen, her parents were slaughtered by bandits & her home burned. From there she lived on her own, taking up odd jobs around the realm until finding a permanent job with The Imperial State Army in Helena, Oren. For sixty-three years, Jacquelyn continued to serve with the military, eventually working her way up to the rank of Captain. Her service only ended upon her death in 1803.

Biography

Early Life

Jacquelyn Cenobia grew up on a Sutican farm. Her father was a farmer & her mother, a doctor. The two had a loveless marriage, often bickering & Jacquelyn's father found his eyes wandering to other women. Soon Jack had to learn to accept her parent's marriage as it is & to cope with that, she spent a lot of her childhood with her best friend Gabriel. When Jacquelyn was only ten years old, a band of road warriors attacked Gabriel's home. The home was burned and along with it, Gabriel & his kin. This event is one of the leading factors in shaping Jacquelyn Cenobia into who she is today.

Six years later the same road warriors returned, attacking Jack's farm this time. Her parents were murdered, the farm burned but Jacquelyn was able to escape by luck after a dagger was thrusted into her stomach, causing permanent damage to her organs. Using nearby materials, she was temporarily able to stop the bleeding until she got her wound stitched up in the Sutican clinic. Now on her own, Jacquelyn traveled from city to city in search of mercenary work.

Marriage

On the 9th of the Amber Cold, 1759 the Selm Chapel in Oren was bustling with excitement for the wedding of Jacquelyn Cenobia & Alexander Wynn [1]. Jacquelyn's dress was simple, bearing no train or veil & Alexander's suit was a quaint blue. Nervously the bride walked up the aisle unescorted to the dais where Alexander & Bishop Krisztián waited. The two exchanged their vows & before god they were wedded. Afterward, a reception was held in the gardens of Selm. Originally the wedding was planned to have a small attendance. The Imperial State Army was invited along with a few close friends of the couple. However, half a saint's hour before the ceremony was to begin, the wedding was publicly announced by Jasper Carrington & a large portion of Helena showed up in attendance.

Peace Times

A few years after the Rubern War came to a close, Alexander quit his job as an imperial officer. He found a new line of work in Owynsburg, Kaedrin which subsequently caused him to move the Cenobia's to the countryside. Jacquelyn's brigade was transferred to be stationed in Owynsburg around the same time which made the commute to work easier for her. Word reached the Cenobia's that their vacation home in Harlingen was due to be demolished so it could be replaced with a manor for House Halcourt. While this wasn't a problem for the Cenobia's, their friends The Komnenos's lived in Harlingen year-round. Jacquelyn reached out to the family & encouraged them to move to Owynsburg. The Komnenos's agreed & moved into the house next door to The Cenobia's a few weeks later.

While in Owynsburg, Jacquelyn gave birth to her second daughter who Alexander named Artemis Sepp Cenobia. Orla at this time was age eight & already off doing her own thing during the day which made caring for a baby quite easy. Years passed & Artemis turned six. Near this time, Alexander purchased a manor in the Kaedrini valley for their family to move into which is the same place the Cenobia family stayed for the rest of their time on Arcas. In the next year, Jacquelyn gave birth to another child that she named Akello Baldwin Cenobia. Along with the birth of Akello, Jacquelyn & Alexander adopted Arya Dane Komnenos; the child of Jacquelyn's niece, Azoria who died in the Scylfing War. Almost immediately following Azoria's passing, her twin, Samuel passed away too. Alongside their father; Alexios, Jacquelyn buried the twins beside a creek in Owynsburg.

Scyfling War

When the Scyfling raiders invaded The Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska, Jacquelyn & other imperial soldiers were asked to aid the effort as field medics. With her friend John Pruvia-Provins, she assisted at the Second Siege of Vasiland, the Assault on Metterden & countless other after battle aid. During the Second Seige of Vasiland her niece, Azoria Komnenos sought her out for aid when a javelin was thrown into her stomach by Ago Stonespear. This was Jacquelyn's first time operating on family along with her first time performing surgery on an active battlefield.

Sutican War

When the Sutican War broke out, Jacquelyn Cenobia was still living in Owynsburg with her family. Her manor which sat in the valley was unprotected by walls which lead to frequent raids on her home. In 1776 a wooden wall was constructed around the valley which put a temporary halt to the attacks. Soon the wall was breached & the frequency of the raids picked back up. During this time Jacquelyn was deployed to the front to scout out enemy terrain. She successfully led multiple scouting missions on Sutica, Vira'ker & Urguan. This information was later used by Imperial & Kaedrini raiding parties. Afterward, she returned to Owynsburg & took part in the First Defense of Kaedrin against The Hangmen. For the rest of the war, she remained in the countryside with orders to stay & defend the vassal nation.

Inferi War

Throughout the Inferi War Jack was at the front of the action. She led many reconnaissance missions into the Inferi territory during the early stages of the war & in the later part, she led groups against small forces of Inferi who made it to the mainland. Notably, she fought in the Seige of Vira'ker, the Seige of the Doghouse & the Seige of the Inferi Stronghold. Even after the war was over Jacquelyn continued to fight the scattered pockets of remaining Inferi along with contributing to research on the demonic beasts.

Journey to Almaris

When Helena burst into flames, Jacquelyn helped lead many citizens out of the burning city to The Eye of Man; an Imperial State Army fortress in the northern territories. The Eye of Man was used as a sanctuary from the fire for all citizens of the Empire. Soon the mali'Aheral & halflings journeyed to The Eye of Man to seek shelter. Later as all descendants of Arcas loaded up onto ships to sail off, Jack lead hundreds of civilians to safety on the boat & she was able to defend The Eye of Man with a few of her comrades when mali'ker bandits attacked. Soon the rest of Arcas collapsed into an inferno & off the descendants sailed to the new land; Almaris.

Life in Providence

Once the descendants arrived on Arcas, Jacquelyn, followed the rest of the imperial to the new capital city of Oren; Providence. Through 1796 and beyond, Oren experience frequent raids. One of these raids led to a skirmish in which Jack was captured by Ferrymen bandits. They beat her bloody & cut off her pinky finger. Eventually, they drug her to the front gate where she then elbowed her captor in the head, stunning him for enough time to escape back into the city.

Death

On the 15th of The First Seed, 1803, Jacquelyn Cenobia was publicly announced dead after she was taken to the hospital for a medical emergency. Due to the parade for Anne I, Holy Orenian Empress's funeral, no doctors were present to assist the sick Captain. Her body went missing a few days after.
