Deep within the southern portions of Norland lies a fortress that is sat next to Lake Eada in the Rænlands. The residents of this fortress, Clan O’Hara are a group of warriors and medics that live by the code of “Loyalty, Honesty, Bravery” who have served Norland and all its vassals for nearly a century. This fortress, named Ironguard, was designed to not only be extremely safe and defendable, but also a place to satisfy the needs of its residents. With a built-in library, tavern, barracks, Feasting hall. One could say that if one wishes to be isolated within the keep for several years, they could do so with no problem. Residents here at Ironguard clearly tend to live isolated lives from the rest of Almaris or even Norland in general, only going out if they absolutely need to or if they just want to in general. With a clear path to Elysium that goes through the crevasses of the surrounding mountains, it is easy to get back to civilization.

Ironguard has a fortified stone foundation while the upper portion is purely made out of wood. The best way to describe Ironguard would be a fortified-looking wooden manor sat atop a stone keep that was built into the hillside. Ironguard itself took half a decade to build. With the rough-mountainous terrain surrounding the keep and with the presence of bears constantly roaming about the construction site, it was hard for the fortress to complete construction. Some bears were brave enough to enter into the fortress while the builders were busy with construction, but all who entered were slain by the builder’s hands. Though Ironguard is a beacon for the Rænlands and still stands strong to this day within the southern portions of the kingdom, Norland.
