The House of Orlov (Common: Orlov; New Marian: Orlov; High Imperial: Aquila) and The House of Falcone (Common: Falcone; New Marian: Not Known; High Imperial: Falco) stem from House O'Rourke as cadet branches. Each house has it's own distinct culture, Raevir & Illatian respectively. Both Houses immigrated to Helena, Oren where they became inrooted into orenian culture & followed the nation to it's next realm; Almaris.

History

Arcas

The Houses of Orlov & Falcone were established in 1682 & 1713 in Galaeve, Aeldin & Melle, The Rasdom of Mèllè respectively. In 1768, a few years after their parent house moved to The Holy Orenian Empire, Arcas, both houses followed. For a few years, they stayed in Owynsburg, Kaedrin while frequently visiting Helena, Oren. Eventually, after a generous donation from Padraig O'Rourke, House Orlov had enough money to purchase an estate in Helena from House Galbraith. The estate began to be known as The Orlov Manor and served as a place of interest for the shadier people of the city. A few months after, House Falcone built up enough mina to make the move to Helena as well.

Moving to Helena launched both house's political careers. Dimitri Orlov, acting patriarch of House Orlov at the time was able to almost instantly seize the Lord Mayor's office. Once in office, Dimitri appointed Vittorio Falcone as his Deputy Mayor. Thus began an era of Orlov dominance in the mayoral elections. Using his new influence as mayor Dimitri, was able to help his brother, Aleksei find a job within The Ministry of Justice as the Sheriff-General of Providence along with helping his sister; Lizaveta obtains a job as a palace maid.

In late autumn of 1787, Gino Falcone; Vittorio's younger brother was wed to Florenza Alba of House d'Amato. The marriage was able to secure a key alliance between the only two Illatian houses of Helena [1]. With another generous donation from Padraig O'Rourke, the newly wedded couple purchased d'Arkent Square 4, a rose-colored estate just down the road from The Orlov Manor.

The following year in 1788, Dimitri Orlov started courting Giada d'Amato, cousin to Florenza d'Amato after a business meeting went wrong. Two years went by and Dimitri placed a ring on Giada and married her in the spring of 1790 [2]. Following the marriage of Dimitri & Giada came the marriage of another Orlov & d'Amato, Lizaveta & Lorenzo who married in 1791.

In the same year Padraig O'Rourke, the current Minister of the Interior passed away, leaving his office to Dimitri Orlov. With Dimitri's promotion to Minister of The Interior, the reign he held on the Lord Mayor's Office was relinquished. Three months afterward, Vittorio Falcone went missing. Things for House Orlov & Falcone seemed to slow down coming in 1793. The final unwed Orlov, Aleksei was privately wed to Arya Dane Komn in Owynsburg.

In 1796 when the collapse of Arcas came, both houses fled to The H.I.M.S Duke of Marna where they were then carried off to Almaris.

Almaris

Upon arriving on the shores of Almaris, Aleksei was gone, having been killed by a politically motivated assassination during the descendants time in The Daeperician Archipelago. The Houses had no time to grieve for their lost family member as life in the new realm held demanding taxes against them. The Houses moved to Providence where Gino Falcone was able to set up a hotel & casino which went on to host the first Josephite Convention in Almaris [3].

The Imperial Cabinet set Dimitri & The Ministry of The Interior (which was renamed to The Home Office) to work creating the imperial highway system, linking estates & towns all to the orenian capital of Providence.

Notable Members of House Orlov & Falcone

  • Dimitri Orlov - Being seen as a natural leader, he was always destined for a role in the government. He got his when his family moved to Helena & he was able to take the Lord Mayor's Office, holding it for over a decade. During his time as Lord Mayor, he helped abolish The Livery Board & replaced it with The City Assembly. In the winter of 1791, he was promoted to Minister of The Interior upon his cousin Padraig O'Rourke's death. Upon landing in Almaris, Dimitri oversaw the construction of the southern & western imperial highway. In 1801 he ran for a seat on the House of Commons and won only to fall into a coma weeks after. Due to his coma, he was removed from his position as Minister of The Interior & replaced by George Galbraith.
  • Gino Falcone - Being commonly looked up to as the head of House Falcone, Gino always placed family above all. For most of his time in Arcas, he held odd jobs, doing whatever was needed of him. Later in Almaris, he was made Editor-In-Cheif of The Helena Herald which he renamed to The Providence Post to refit the new realm. After the death of his wife in 1799, an investigation was launched into Gino. After being cleared as innocent of his wife's death, many Ministry of Justice workers kept their eye on Gino. This caused Gino to be accused of many more crimes related to political assassinations throughout the early 1800s.
  • Aleksei Orlov - Being the much more adventurous brother in House Orlov, Aleksei found himself getting into unusual & occasionally dangerous situations. His adventurous habits died off when he took a job working as Sheriff-General for The Ministry of Justice. During his time in The Ministry, he cracked down on one of the worst crime periods in Helena, seeing the punishment & execution of many criminals such as the Redfist Clan. When the descendants landed in The Daeperician Archipelago on their journey to Almaris, Aleksei's time was cut short by a political assassination.
  • Cosimo Falcone - Being the son of Gino, Cosimo was always expected to follow in his father's footsteps. However, unlike his father, Cosimo took a much more social aspect to life, engaging with the nobility of Oren & attending many debutantes. When Cosimo was seventeen, allegations against him & his father spread through Oren that Cosimo & his father assaulted the Solicitor-General of Oren; Ophelia Wick. By the age of eighteen, he was placed behind bars. Neither proven guilt or exonerated for those crimes, Cosimo went on to serve two consecutive terms in the House of Commons, co-authoring a small handful of laws during his time in office. Retiring then, Cosimo was nominated by John VIII to become Judge of the Central Circuit Court, only to turn up missing shortly before his confirmation.

Patriarchs of Orlov & Falcone
