House History

Traditionally said to be founded by Eddyrd, a mercenary of Asulon who obtained the land known as Emrys in Seventis, the bloodline has a deep and intrinsic history within Humanity, having involved itself with most wars throughout the ages. Members of the bloodline can be traced back as far as Aegis, with Prince Merrigan forming a friendship with the then errant knight Dezios Vallark. Merrigan’s son, Konrad, would go on to become a famous warrior of Mankind, fighting against the Undead, and falling in valor during the last stand against the Undead, where Iblees unleashed eldritch magic upon the world, sundering Aegis forever.

His children kept and beared his legacy with pride, with Konrad’s first born, Eddyrd, obtaining the land surrounding an enigmatic tower in Seventis, given by Dezios’ son, who had formed the Kingdom of Seventis. House Emrys served House Vallark with an undying loyalty and zealous patriotism, helping form the Seventian Culture and spread it wide, thus turning Old Seventia into one of the most widespread and expansive cultural phenomenons in all of Asulon.

After the Doom of Seventis, following the plague of 1391, the house begrudgingly set in Renatus, with the last remaining of Konrad’s children; Gunder, becoming Knight Protector of Arethor due to his prowess in combat and calm demeanor. They’d go to serve Oren with a similar ilk of loyalty they kept to Seventis, however keeping their culture pure and from meddling their blood with those of Renatian or Heartlander heritage.

Following the lands of Anthos and Athera, they continued to serve the throne of Oren faithfully, fighting and vanquishing the foes of Horen, and then Savoie as best they could, however they’d go into anonymity until Axios, where the ambitious brothers Rhydderch and Tyrras formed a holy Order under the blessing of Adrian I, the pontiff of the Church of Canon, becoming the foremost military force of Lorraine. This, during the rebellion, served to guard all of the D’amaury country, pledging their blades to King John. In return, they were given the lands known as Ponce, that once served as the seat of House Hightower.
