The House of Blaxton (Common: Blaxton; Naumarian: Blakton) is a Minor Noble House, situated in the Kingdom of Haense. The Blaxton family used to rule the Viscounty of Brabant & Barony of Blackwell while being a vassal of the House of Amador.

History of the House

Axios

The House of Blaxton started as peasantry within the Barony of Mondstadt, then the seat of the House of Amador

In 1595, Owyn Amador became the Baron of Mondstadt. He wished to keep up friendly relations within the Kingdom of Lotharingia by hiring a commoner within his lands called Aylwin Blaxton to manage the relationship. In the first decade of the 17th century, a minor scandal rocked the Amador's relationship with the Crown of Haense when Owyn and Aylwin were dragged before the court to answer crimes of conspiracy with the Kingdom of Lotharingia. In truth, the Amadors were seeking trading opportunities within the Kingdom of Lotharingia and, upon discovering the truth of this, Marius I of Haense pardoned the pair.

During the Reign of Marius I of Haense, the Kingdom of Haense suffered a terrible defeat in the Great Northern War. As consequence of the bitter defeat, the victorious Courlandic forces requested the annexation of Mondstadt, thus forcing the Amadors off their Ancestral seat & the Blaxton's from their home. The Blaxton family moved down south with the Amadors to the Kingdom of Lotharingia, to the Barony of Ostwick, then ruled by the Amador Patriarch's Mother, Anna Sophia.

Moving from the service of the Amadors to that of the Horen-Pruessens, Aylwin Blaxton played a crucial role in Anna Sophia's Court, becoming her Chamberlain within the Barony of Ostwick. The Kingdom of Lotharingia, ruled by Lothar I of Lotharingia, was in a slow and steady decline. Tensions were rising between the two vassals: the House of Horen-Preussens and the House of Ashford de Anjou, especially when the capital city, Metz, underwent a massive reconstruction effort that seemed ill-managed and eventually stall out completely. Aylwin is believed to have conspired with external forces to place his new patron on the Throne and make her Queen Anna of Lotharingia, as a well-timed coup took place at the Barony of Ostwick, where Lothar I was led naively to an isolated room and then stabbed twice in the neck.

Anna Sophia's year-long reign as the Queen of Lotharingia would end in 1607, when d'Amaury Loyalists led by Ser Hornigold broke into Ostwick Keep and murdered the Queen in kind. Her lands and titles would pass to her brother Frederick, Prince of Pruvia who would aid in the restoration of the Holy Orenian Empire under Peter II, Holy Orenian Emperor. It is rumored that the pair conspired to have the Princess killed, as they only required the amount of lands that encompassed a part of her kingdom to reform the Imperial throne. What is known is that Aylwin Blaxton was rewarded handsomely, first with a new position as Chancellor of Hochspitze, then with the Viscounty of Dithmarschen in 1612 (later renamed Brabant), independently seated within Pruvian lands, where he would eventually vassalise back under Owyn "Iron-Fist" Amador. Not too long after, Peter II, Holy Orenian Emperor (The former Duke of Mardon) proclaimed the Sixth Holy Orenian Empire with his now-integrated Allies. House Amador, and thus House Blaxton, were thus brought into the Imperial fold.

Aylwin Blaxton would later serve out the rest of his life peacefully residing in the Viscounty of Brabant, within a small stout Keep known as Blackwell, surrounded by family and servants.

Over the course of his time as a Diplomat and Chamberlain, he had carried on a correspondence with another commoner named Erin Lockley, a young woman of minor wealth who owned her own farm and sold the produce within Hanseti-Ruska. The pair were married at Hochspitze on 1st of The Amber Cold, 1616. It was reportedly a happy marriage, but sadly ended just a year later when both Aylwin and Erin Blaxton suspiciously died on 2nd of Sun's Smile, 1617.

Aylwin's only surviving kin, a brother named Ayldan Blaxton, became Viscount of Brabant and, alongside his wife and consort, Alyssa Adelheid Amador. The pair would continue to rule in the Viscounty of Brabant until the War of the Beards, when the Sixth Holy Orenian Empire effectively collapsed in 1638. after which, the Blaxton's returned as bannermen for the House of Amador and followed their return to the Kingdom of Haense, where they remain to this day.
