House d'Amaury was the former royal family over the Kingdom of Lotharingia, reigning from 1593 FA to 1614 FA. Prior to their rule of the Kingdom of Lotharingia, they were the ducal family of Lorraine and Kaedrin. The Leumonian branch of House d'Amaury is the ruling family of the Jarldom of Leumont, reigning from 12 SA to the present.
Formation
The Leumonian branch of House d'Amaury was founded in 12 SA after Jolfrey d'Amaury proclaimed his conversion to the Red Faith and claimed his blood to be descended from a cousin of Augustus d'Amaury. The conversion prompted a small backlash from the Canonist community as the d'Amaury family and kingdom which they ruled were known to be devout and fanatical Canonists.
