House Valyn was founded by Ser Edric Mösu, a knight and member of a branch of House Mösu. Growing up, Edric was ambitious, and this shows it, as instead of keeping the Mösu name when he was knighted, he took the name Valyn. He took 'sable a lion head erased brunatre antique crowned or' as his coat of arms which would become House Valyn's sigil.
