History

Almaris

Origins

The House of Valyn was founded by Ser Edric Mösu, who was knighted during the year 80 S.A. He would then hunt a beast which began preying on the village's sheep, he tracked it back to its den, a cave in the base of a mountain. Edric would kill the beast and it’s mate, but would spare its offspring. After the hunt, he would take a black lion on a crimson field as his Coat of Arms, and would set off into the world to find his kin in Fort Myrine.

Landing in the South

Ser Edric landed north of Fort Myrine, near Caer Raewyn. He would then stop by the village, and would get a letter from his father, Varamyr, that he was in Myrine. Though the letter had bad news, as it also told him that his father had killed himself, but his father’s wish was that he would go to the city and be loyal to his kin, and he would.

When he arrived at Myrine, he was greeted by his cousin, Friedrich of Redclyf, the duke of Redclyf at that time. He would also meet Sir Ragnarr Mösu, his uncle. He would develop a brotherly bond with Friedrich, one that was closer to a brotherly bond than a cousinly one. He would later become the Aesir of Peace, as Lord Uhtred Mösu, the previous one, went missing in action during the battle of Karamir Mountain.
