From that day, the life of Hekkaes Goldhand would slowly change, with the influence of Kaz'Ulrah's vassals, Nottingham, he soon became a shady dwarf, involved in illegal business and trades. The dwarf began to take war slaves during the war between Kaz'Ulrah and Dominion of Malin, the gold he received from each slave sell would value more than the minerals he would sell, so he decided to keep the slave-trading for some more time, which would then result in half of his time on Atlas to be dedicated to slavery and mercenary business. As the Kingdom of Kaz'Ulrah prospered, a new idea came into Hekkaes's mind, the forming of his own settlement, departed in the wildlands of Atlas. Taking his brother, Balin, they reformed their family clan, Anvilaxe and formed the settlement Kal'Arab in the snowy realms of Atlas. It wasn't much after he left, that word broke through the Kingdom of Kaz'Ulrah. Many wished him well, while others wished ill upon him and his family, such as Dwifur Goldhand. A grudge was declared upon Hekkaes, the dwarf ignoring it as he knew he had more important business to handle. As time passed Kal'Arab remained Hekkaes's main settlement, the dwarf visiting Kaz'Ulrah from time to time, showing his support to the true kingdom of dwarves. Years after Kal'Arab would be formed, and the rise of enemy extremist settlements such as Kal'Ord, Hekkaes decided it would be for the better of his kin to return to Kaz'Ulrah and so he did. But his return wasn't greeted so well, for the grudge was never taken care of. As time and talks between him and Dwifur took place, the terms were presented. Combat, if Hekkaes would lose, Dwifur would demand his head and if Hekkaes would win, the grudge would be voided. Before the grudge would take place, the Goldhand Clan, with Dwifur Goldhand leading it, tried to intimidate Goldhand and maybe even assassinate him, right outside of Kaz'Ulrah. But unfortunately for Dwifur Goldhand, the great friend of Hekkaes, Ulrich, was there. The old dwarf mage would summon his arcane powers, to force the Goldhands to back away and draw attention upon them, to which the queen, Koralon Onyxheart and Officer Grudgebeard were attracted to. The dwarves then made their way in the council room, to which Hekkaes would have to face Morug oz Brathmordakin in combat. The fight would come out as not being an easy one, but with the will of Brathmordakin, Hekkaes won the grudge against the Goldhand Clan, reclaiming his honor.

Everything would seem to be fine, Goldhands earning once more their seat in the council of the dwarven society and Hekkaes becoming the bar owner of the capital, nothing would seem wrong only until the ending of Baldin Frostbeard's reign as High Preceptor of the clergy. Many tensions arise with many conflicts taking place, but nothing major still.

Hekkaes Goldhand (Dwarven: ᚻᛂᚴᚴᚪᛂᛊ ᚵᚮᛚᛑᚻᚪᚾᛑ) is an old dwarf, who has always been curious and interested in ways of making himself wealthier by any means. Last Champion of Kaz'Ulrah, his only defeat was in a honor duel in the dwarven capital of the under-realm of Urguan, Kal'Evraal, where the dwarf, melted with the lava, supposedly ending his life. Tho, this would seem to not be the ending of Hekkaes, the great ambition of the dwarf never stopping, death touching him not.

Biography

Childhood

Hekkaes was born in an unknown village, in the realms of Axios, a village populated by a variety of races, from which much knowledge would be absorbed. His childhood was not so easy, being the firstborn of his family and with an alcoholic father, he was the one in charge of his family from the beginning. As he grew, he got tired of the physical abuse his siblings received from his father, so one day, while he was in the house's forge, from the other room he could hear beating sounds. As he'd be finished, forging his blade, he'd slowly creep to the doors of that room, to see his father with a hammer in his hand, ready to send several strikes down his brother, Balin Goldhand. So without a moment of thinking, Hekkaes charged upon his father, the ambush was enough to deliver a deadly stab to his torso area. It would be Hekkaes's first kill, the dwarf knowing nothing of the Brathmordakin, he took the body and threw it in the flames of his forge. Aiding his brother Balin, and beginning the search for his other siblings and a better home.

Adulthood

After his arrival to the Kingdom of Kaz'Ulrah he was warmly greeted by his kin, Hekkaes being new to every dwarven tradition, he knew not how to act around other dwarves, so the beginning was an awkward time, but the dwarf got used to being around his kin. It was a prospering nation, but there was a lot of work needed, so Hekkaes knew that if he wants to make money, he would need to find a job. And so he did, meeting Dwifar Goldhand, he got his first job in the mines of Kaz'Ulrah, to which he prospered. After months in the kingdom and several nights spent in the dark mines, more chatting took place between him and Dwifar Goldhand, the Clan Father of Goldhand Clan at that time, which would end in Hekkaes finally becoming a Goldhand. Before the grudge would take place, the Goldhand Clan, with Dwifur Goldhand leading it, tried to intimidate the Goldhand and maybe even assassinate him, right outside of Kaz'Ulrah. Time passed by, Anvilaxes were officially recognized as a clan in Kaz'Ulrah, with a council seat for themselves, Hekkaes also becoming the Justice Hammer of Yemekar. The good times would soon pass out, as the reign of Edel Silvervein would begin. Not that long of a reign, for his seat would be contested by the dwarves of Ulrah, to which Thoak Goldhand became the High King of Kaz'Ulrah and the last one. The roars of war raged upon Atlas, with a Coalition formed against The Empire of Man. The Kingdom Of Kaz'Ulrah would take place in the Coalition, for they would never leave their allies alone in the battlefield, but unlucky for the people of Coalition for they would be met by the bias of skygods. And so it was, battle after battle being lost, the turn of Kaz'Ulrah arriving. Silence fell upon the mountains of Kaz'Ulrah, inside of them dwarves preparing for what would come upon them. One day, Thoak Goldhand would summon Hekkaes, to which he'd offer the position of Clan Father to Hekkaes in exchange for Anvilaxes to merge with Goldhands. The offer was accepted, Anvilaxes afterall having Goldhand blood running through their veins! The war arrived and unfortunately, it was lost, Thoak Goldhand to never be seen again and Hekkaes Goldhand losing his eye during the battle of Kaz'Ulrah. Great sadness fell upon the Goldhand Clan, the dwarves finding refuge in Kal'Arab, till the time to move in Arcas came. Not many things happened for Goldhands as their home became Adria. Time would pass, and from the homeland of dwarves the act of pardoning all dwarves would arrive, allowing Hekkaes Goldhand to join with his clan the capital of Dwedmar, Kal'Varoth. The capital of dwedmar would soon be rebuilt, Kal'Evraal rising as the greatest city the realms of Arcas would ever host, with great architecture from dwarves and high tech engineering, the capital was built in a short period of time, but the new city would seem to host even more conflicts than the old one. With Hekkaes Goldhand becoming the Warden of Urguan, many dwarves disliked him for his actions of showing no emotions in his deeds, the dwarf only doing the job he was appointed to. Fights took place between clans, Goldhands having to suddenly fight Irongrinders and Starbreakers without the possibility of rally their fellow dwarven allies, they did not back down and took their warhammers out. Goldhands came out victorious from the fight, Hekkaes Goldhand tried to set peace between the clans but the lying clan father of Irongrinders would seem to never forget the shame he bough upon himself after losing the clan fight. Time would continue to pass and Morag Goldhand would seem to become one other problem to Hekkaes Goldhand, to which a grudge would be written and the fight would soon be to take place. But it would be no normal fight, for lava was rising in their fighting area and the scared cave dwarf, Morag Goldhand decided to fight with a long-ranged weapon. Sadly enough, Hekkaes got pushed into lava, supposedly dying and ending the nightmares of the weak cave dwarf, but it would not be end. It would just, be the beginning.
