At 9:33 on the 11th of The Amber Cold, 1786, the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska was granted independence from the Holy Orenian Empire by the Empress Anne I, and Emperor Joseph II. This sparked celebrations throughout Haense, with many citizens meeting at the Royal Capital to celebrate. People were singing, talking, drinking, and overall having a good time. This day would go on to be marked as Haeseni Independence day, a very important cherished date for many Haeseni citizens.

The Meeting

His Majesty the King of Hanseti-Ruska, received a summons from the Holy Orenian Emperor and Empress to meet on the 11th of the Amber Cold, 1786. When the day came around, the King met at the Palace alongside a few members of the Aulic Council and his most trusted esteemed Knights. The intention of the meeting was unclear, so the Haeseni were on guard and very suspicious of the Imperials. After brief formalities were out of the way, the true purpose of the meeting came to light. The Imperials didn't like how the Haeseni Government kept resisting their attempts of integration. They thought it was too much trouble and that it was no longer worth it. Thus they decided to release the Kingdom as a vassal. So at Nine Thirty Three on the Eleventh of The Amber Cold, Seventeen Eighty Six of the First Age, the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska was declared as an Independent Nation. [1] After Haense was released, the Empress proposed a treaty that consisted of non-aggression, a defensive pact, and that embassies of the other nation would be constructed in both their capitals. After a short bit of thought, Josef I signed the treaty. This treaty became known as the Treaty of Helena, 1786. [2]
