Goldhand Clan Emblem

One of the dwarven noble clans, Goldhands have always fed their lust for gold in the most profiting ways possible. From trading to spelunking, Goldhands strive to amount the gold which their greed. Although not a clan with the most steady of activity, the stories of Goldhands and their merchant travels are known even today. In the age of Vailor, the Goldhands were repopulated under Durack Goldhand, with the dreams of dwarven excavating for treasures and relics.

Appearance

Although the skin tone of the Goldhands may vary from dwarf to dwarf, due to their professions, most of them are known to have a specific distinguishing detail from the rest of their kin, their hair. Alhough their hands are not literally golden, their hair actually is. Most of them varies with golden colors but their eyes are most usually in darker tones although lighter colors of eyes are not that uncommon. Goldhands don’t have a clan regular uniform, but rather wear either casual dwarven clothes or stick to the uniforms of their profession.

Vassalization

Culture

Bloodline and joining

Goldhands, much like other clans, are proud of their lineage as Goldhand blood runs strong in their veins. As they are proud of their lineage, a beardling can either become a Goldhand by having direct blood connection to the Goldhands or by connection with the Goldhand blood in other means, such as marriage.

Religion

Goldhands are much like common dwed connected with Brathmordakin and it’s ways in everyday life. Their patrons are Grimdugan and Armakak, The Merchant Brothers, and some believe that the Goldhands have an actually bloodline connected to The Merchant Father himself. Unlike most clans, that pray before battle for good luck and to sharpen their will, Goldhands usually pray to their patrons for good fortune in their everyday trading and buisness that might bring them wealth. Some also consider Ogradhad, The Scholar as their patron as well.

Traditions

Trials

The Goldhands do not have initiation trials, as usually they believe the new members are to prove themselves with good buisness deals and their ways of gaining fortune.

Forgotten Traditions

As generations pass, many of the older traditions dissapear and turn into a mistery for normal members of the clan.

Laws

  • The Goldhands take this to heart. Each individual member will pass on, that is the way of the world. But the Clan stands strong and does not fade with time. As such no betrayal of the Clan will be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to: stealing from the Clan, killing another Clan mate, dishonoring the ancestors, failing to acknowledge direct orders from the Clan leaders. In addition betraying the Dwarven nation is highly frowned upon and may mark the offending Dwarf as a sworn enemy of the Clan.
  • Any oath sworn in blood is binding and cannot be broken without expulsion from the Clan. Such oaths should never be undertaken lightly. Similarly, any oath sworn on one’s ancestors carries the same weight as a blood oath and should not be broken.
  • Disputes between Clan members are brought to the Clan leader or older Clans members immediately. Arguments and disagreements will be solved without going to an outside source unless absolutely necessary.
  • All Clans-mates must respect one another. We are all related by blood. Remember to respect your elders. They’ve lived longer than you, and certainly have more knowledge stored away then you might give them credit for.

Relics

Scales.png
The Scales of Tungdil
The scales of Tungdil is an elaborately crafted device etched with jewels of many colors. It is not known if it holds any mystical powers, but for many within the clan, it would be seen as a device that would be used for measuring deals and used against those who have done the clan wrong.
GoldhandClanCoin.jpg
The Coin of Clanlords
The Coin of Clanlords is a coin that originates from the Halls of Urguan during the founding of the clan by Tungdil Goldhand. This coin is guarded religiously by the acting Clanlord, and is ever brought out when it is passed on to a new Clanlord. Whoever holds this coin is deemed the acting Clanlord. It is said that this coin is made with a mix of minerals amounting to a staggering wealth, and was forged in such a way that cannot be replicated or reproduced.

History

Goldhand history reaches all the way through archives of Aegis. Although the history files about Anthos and Athera are rare as the clan was pretty inactive, a new age for Goldhands in Atlas has risen.
