As tensions against the mother city of Kal'Urguan, Kal’Alrasians prepared for a right against the capital. The city had grown into a multi racial area, and a war between the Humans and Dwarves put everyone on alert. During the attack by the humans on Kal'Urguan, the Goldhands turned out in great numbers to defend their Dwarven home. But when the dust settled it was clear that Kal’Alras was going to secede. A division in the clan was formed as the Alrasian Goldhand’s who had grown in power in Alras decided to stay, and the rest of the clan who felt stronger ties to Kal'Urguan. This division has lessened over time, and while Clan Goldhand is once again a solid family, many members have not forgotten the disagreement. Forgiven but not forgotten.

The family fell upon hard times. The vast warehouses in Al’Khazar fell to the noxious cloud. Troubles between parts of the Dwarven nation and Alras made the once great merchant city unpleasant for Dwarves. Many of the Goldhands had to choose between their city and their dwarven brethren. The choice was easy for most: honor bound to the Dwarven nation, dismayed that Alras had forgotten its roots, and disgusted by some of the blatant discrimination in Alras, all the Goldhands returned to the home of their forefathers. After finding the new Dwarven capital, the clan was reunited and a clan hall in the city. Gone were the vast sums of wealth that the cousins had held back in Aegis, but the clan was happy to have good solid stone over their heads and dwarves to rely on. Once again they had a starting point to build up their business once again. Gulroid stepped forward as clan leader and attended many meetings of the dwarves at this time, representing his clan to the best of his ability. He was disgusted however by the lack of productiveness that the clans had, and that none of them seemed to be able to agree.

Just when the Goldhands thought they had a stable place to live once more, a dragon forced the dwarves out of Karik. The clan splintered off, with Rasun Goldhand and Gulroid heading back to their ranch in the wilds, and Dunhagen Goldhand and Delios heading to Salvus where the clan owned a small shop. The war with Salvus has hurt the Goldhands as much of their stock in the city has been pillaged or has gone unaccounted for.

More recently there have been new additions to the clan. Algoda Goldhand survived the flight from Aegis and the undead threat and was welcomed with much feasting and ale drinking. Moruk and Gorum Frostbeard married into the clan helping to solidify the strong dwarven blood as Frostbeard and Goldhand blood were merged. The clan has retreated to their holdings in the wild as plague has griped the land. Having found an abandoned fortress, the clan is restoring it, and giving the Goldhand heirlooms a proper place of honor once more.

While the Goldhands were constructing the fortress the situation in Alras deteriorated. The death of High King Syrio sent a shockwave through the members of the clan who had once called Kal’Alras home. Suddenly there was hope kindled as it was clear that Alras was fading quickly. The reign of High King Aislin was short. Gorum and Moruk were present when the new High King succumbed to madness. Through diplomatic and military strength the Nation of Alras was once again under Dwarven rule and in the hands of the Goldhands.

With power of Alras given to the Goldhands by Paragon Kjell. The Goldhands went about dismantling vast parts of the city which had long been abandoned. The underground Dwarven District would become the new Goldhand Clan Hold and the outer city would house the inhabitants of other races who had long called Alras home. There were other changes as well. Under Rasun’s rule, the city restored its old flag and colors and reclaimed it’s long abandoned name: Kal’Alras.

Not all was easy for the Goldhands during this time. There was unrest among the clans and the Dwarven nation was under severe strain. The Noble clans ended up in a position where they controlled and ran their own holds as city-states, each having separate representation, militaries, and social structure, but uniting when there were outside threats. And these threats did rise. Most recently a long and bloody war with the Orcs cost the lives of many Dwarves. The capture of the farms by the Orcs forced the Goldhands to relocated the farm land. This area was eventually recaptured but scaring to the land due to the tolls of war were immense.
 +
 +
The Dwarven treaty with the Orcs, ending the bloodshed between the two races did not sit well with many Goldhands who felt that the other clans were dishonoring their ancestors and the dead who had so valiantly fought the Orc scum. But in a meeting with other clans and the new Rex of the Orcs, the Goldhands were outvoted and the Dwarven Nation as a whole declared a truce. This was partially due to the threat of the human nation and also a rising sense of darkness and foreboding coming from the sightings of necromancers roaming around the reaches of Asulon.
 +
As the ink dried on the truce between the Orcs and the Dwarves, war began in the south. The insults of the Teutans could not be ignored and a bloody battle was sparked that ended in catastrophe. The battle left the Dwarven army in retreat and the whereabouts of many Goldhands unknown. During this tumultuous time the Goldhands were approached with an offer that they could not conceivably refuse. Queen Kyral Hightower brought an offer to buy the city of Kal’Alras the much of the surrounding land. Due to the relocation of the Dwarves to Kal'Karik, and geographic location of Alras, the Goldhands accepted the trade.
 +
Most recently the Goldhands have supported the dissolution of the Noble Council with the election of King Hiebe and the restoration of a powerful monarchy to once again lead the Dwarves to a golden age.
 +
 +
After the trade of Kal'Alras, and the Dwarves returning to their ancient city of Kal'Karik amongst the mountains, the Goldhands resided in the noble district of Clan Goldhand. There housed many of the Goldhands that came on the journey to their ancient home. After years of peacefully residing in Kal'Karik, Gulroid the former Clan Father has fallen ill and sick. He retreated to the ancient hold of the Goldhands near Kal'Anart and lived there for the time being. During this time, the Goldhands had fallen into disarray as the leadership of the clan slowly deteriorated. In this time Rasun Goldhand also vanished. The knowing of him being alive or dead is not known, and the only note of Rasun, is that he vanished into the wilds and was to be never seen again.
 +
 +
The dark days of the Goldhands loomed over the clan and the clan fell into darkness without leadership. The Clan Father Gulroid had fallen ill, and the one who many Goldhands looked up to, Rasun has gone missing without a trace. The remaining Goldhands that still reside in the grand halls of Kal'Karik grow weary of the disappearance of leadership among the clan, and soon later William of the Goldhand Clan called forth a meeting with his kin to discuss the current happenings of leadership, and the future of the clan.
 +
 +
After days of discussion in the Goldhand Hall in Kal'Karik, it was decided that Thoak Goldhand would venture forth and make way toward the ancient hold of the Goldhands, and consult with Gulroid in his current state about the future of the Goldhands. There it was decided by Gulroid himself that Thoak becomes the new Clan Father and that Gulroid would step down because of his current state of illness. Thoak Goldhand himself promised that he would bring back the nobility of the clan, and pride and honor that the clan once held.

Nothing much can be said about Elysium. It was said that Thoak Goldhand established a small settlement outside of the Urguan Hold near the mountains for those seeking work outside of the small hold. It was great while it lasted, however most of it was wiped out due to the great volcano nearby erupting sending the village to its fiery doom.

The clan has been mostly inactive, with only a few Goldhands trying to revive the clan. The latest Goldhand, Finian, rose to the challenge of trying to officially revive the splintered clan.

The clan, though small, was lead shortly by Finian Goldhand, his age of revival hitting it's peak before departing on pilgrimage. After many passings, the title of Clan Father was held by Conan Goldhand, whom lead what was left of the once again splintered clan. After some time, Durack Goldand would arrive and take over the clan with a new age of reformation, later to be labeled, "The Age of History", where Durack would turn the Goldhands from merchants, to treasure hunters.

As Durack took the mantle of Goldhand, new blood began to come back to the clan. With new Goldhands beginning to reassemble the clan looked to be hitting a period of growth as it did with Finian.

After a few months of staying idle, the Goldhand clan begins a great movement, one wrought in thievery and deceit. A dwarf known as Azaghal Doomforged was searched on orders of the Grand King in hopes of uncovering a conspiracy against him on the grounds of stealing clan relics. It came to light that Azaghal held the Scales of Tungdil, and after it being returned to the Goldhand clan, Durack Goldhand saw it fit to get even with the dwarf. He decided to speak to the Grand King to completely destroy the Doomforged clan, and after being denied that out right, the Grand King told Durack instead to create a grudge against him, in hopes of not having any Dwarven blood shed within the land. Durack, still fuming over his denial, reluctantly agreed, and began his journey to make the Doomforged clan pay for their dishonorable conduct.

As the dwarves finally arrived on Atlas, Goldhand clan found themselves in the Kingdom of Kaz'Ulrah where there were only 3 clan fathers untill the falling of the kingdom. It was first Dwifur Goldhand, later on to be assassinated in the throne room. Thoak Goldhand, later becoming the High King of Kaz'Ulrah, and the last king of it. And the last Clan Father and the current one, Hekkaes Goldhand which led the clan in the war of Kaz'Ulrah.
 +
The Goldhands remained splitted across Atlas, as it was in the blood of every Goldhand to go around and trade.

It was until the war of Kaz'Ulrah., after it Goldhands were splitted more than the usual.

But it was for the clan to return in the realm of Arcas, under the march of Hekkaes Goldhand.

Arcas
The realm of Arcas, was home to many catastrophes known to the Goldhand Clan. First, with the death of Hekkaes Goldhand in a honor duel against the dwarf Morag "Jewelbeard" Goldhand, followed years later by the trial of Ivär Goldhand for the crucifixion of Morag, which led to the young Clan Father to take his own life in the throneroom with the very weapon used to kill Hekkaes Goldhand, proclaiming the kingdom's High Courts corrupt. The Clan remained silent for years till Uldraek Goldhand arrived to the news of the two deaths in the clan. It was from then that Uldraek would pick up the Clan and duties within the Grand Kingdom of Urguan. Becoming the Clan Father of Goldhands, Uldraek started working on promoting knowledge within the clan, gaining free student tuition for those within the clan, wishing to attend a magical school next to Sutica. From then a new age of industry was to arrive for the Goldhands, Dorimnur Goldhand taking control of the Worker's Guild, making the Goldhands the leaders of all industry, however political opponents of the Clan Father began to take positions of power, striking suspicions within the clan. The Goldhands expanded their territory within Sutica, creating new homes and fields for a worst-case scenario. Said option began to look appealing as news arrived from Bödmer Goldhand that the High Preceptor, Grand Marshal, and Chief Justiciar, were planning a mocking trial for Uldraek Goldhand for accusations of treason, Bödmer claiming the outcome was predetermined to either execution or banishment. Division begins to brew within the clan as Elder Githaic Goldhand was found out to be trading weapons with the Inferi, escaping the grasp of Urguani law as his arrest took place in the middle of a naval battle against the Inferi, and Dorimnur Goldhand casting doubt on the entirety of the clan's leadership, declaring himself the new Clan Lord and signing a mandate of the High Courts of Urguan to exile the old establishment of the Goldhand Clan, denoting them as the Anvilaxe. The clan then divided in two, with Dorimnur leading the Urguani Goldhands and Uldraek leading the Sutican Goldhands.

Soon after the arrival of the clan upon the new lands of Almaris, their eyes caught quickly the economic situation of the continent. With resources being not so numerous as before, the clan was quick to make up a plan on what is to done and what will be their next move. And with that, they were one of the first people on the new markets Almaris had, making hundreds of mina quickly, only to realize that their money was being taxed by the Cloud Temple monks. Angry with the thought of their money being stolen, the Goldhands developed their own unique secret bank, which would operate with different offshore accounts in different nations, evading the tax imposed by monks, thus saving them from losing money while also making profit by saving other people from the evil taxes. The clan, still being on their own, found refuge in many different nations, using their connections as well as resources to create the best conditions for themselves. They later came to the realization, under the guide of Hekkaes Goldhand the newly appointed Clan Father, in respect to the ancient traditions of the clan unlike other rebels, that mina was not as useful as it was on different continents. The next biggest move of the clan was their affiliation with the Void. Under the guidance and leadership of Hekkaes Goldhand, a well-versed mage himself, the Clan was soon to follow in his footsteps, forging connections between thems and the Void as well with the magical communities all across the realm of Almaris. And with that, their next huge investment was in magic, as a way to preserve not only their hard-worked money but also as a way to make history as well as revive the old and long gone one. The grand re-construction of the Goldhand clan under the rightful rule of Hekkaes Goldhand is unlike the rest. Claimed by Hekkaes Goldhand is that he was shown a vision by Tungdil himself, from the halls of Khaz'A'Dentrumm, guiding the Clan Father to a secret location where he claimed to have found lost dwarven artifacts. Those artifacts would be the legendary armor set of Tungdil Goldhand, with an Arcanium coat all across them. The dwed claims to also have found The Scales of Tungdil, with other key but less important clan artifacts.

One of the dwarven noble clans, Goldhands have always fed their lust for gold in the most profiting ways possible. From trading to spelunking, Goldhands strive to amount the gold which their greed. Although not a clan with the most steady of activity, the stories of Goldhands and their merchant travels are known even today. In the age of Vailor, the Goldhands were repopulated under Durack Goldhand, with the dreams of dwarven excavating for treasures and relics.

Appearance

Although the skin tone of the Goldhands may vary from dwarf to dwarf, due to their professions, most of them are known to have a specific distinguishing detail from the rest of their kin, their hair. Alhough their hands are not literally golden, their hair actually is. Most of them varies with golden colors but their eyes are most usually in darker tones although lighter colors of eyes are not that uncommon. Goldhands don’t have a clan regular uniform, but rather wear either casual dwarven clothes or stick to the uniforms of their profession.

Culture

Bloodline and joining

Goldhands, much like other clans, are proud of their lineage as Goldhand blood runs strong in their veins. As they are proud of their lineage, a beardling can either become a Goldhand by having direct blood connection to the Goldhands or by connection with the Goldhand blood in other means, such as marriage.

Religion

Goldhands are much like common dwed connected with Brathmordakin and it’s ways in everyday life. Their patrons are Grimdugan and Armakak, The Merchant Brothers, and some believe that the Goldhands have an actually bloodline connected to The Merchant Father himself. Unlike most clans, that pray before battle for good luck and to sharpen their will, Goldhands usually pray to their patrons for good fortune in their everyday trading and buisness that might bring them wealth. Some also consider Ogradhad, The Scholar as their patron as well.

Traditions

Trials

The Goldhands do not have initiation trials, as usually they believe the new members are to prove themselves with good buisness deals and their ways of gaining fortune.

Forgotten Traditions

As generations pass, many of the older traditions dissapear and turn into a mistery for normal members of the clan.
More on the forgotten traditions can be found here!

Laws

 • The Goldhands take this to heart. Each individual member will pass on, that is the way of the world. But the Clan stands strong and does not fade with time. As such no betrayal of the Clan will be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to: stealing from the Clan, killing another Clan mate, dishonoring the ancestors, failing to acknowledge direct orders from the Clan leaders. In addition betraying the Dwarven nation is highly frowned upon and may mark the offending Dwarf as a sworn enemy of the Clan.
 • Any oath sworn in blood is binding and cannot be broken without expulsion from the Clan. Such oaths should never be undertaken lightly. Similarly, any oath sworn on one’s ancestors carries the same weight as a blood oath and should not be broken.
 • Disputes between Clan members are brought to the Clan leader or older Clans members immediately. Arguments and disagreements will be solved without going to an outside source unless absolutely necessary.
 • All Clans-mates must respect one another. We are all related by blood. Remember to respect your elders. They’ve lived longer than you, and certainly have more knowledge stored away then you might give them credit for.

Relics

Scales.png
The Scales of Tungdil
The scales of Tungdil is an elaborately crafted device etched with jewels of many colors. It is not known if it holds any mystical powers, but for many within the clan, it would be seen as a device that would be used for measuring deals and used against those who have done the clan wrong.
CoinOfClanLords.png
The Coin of Clanlords
The Coin of Clanlords is a coin that originates from the Halls of Urguan during the founding of the clan by Tungdil Goldhand. This coin is guarded religiously by the acting Clanlord, and is ever brought out when it is passed on to a new Clanlord. Whoever holds this coin is deemed the acting Clanlord. It is said that this coin is made with a mix of minerals amounting to a staggering wealth, and was forged in such a way that cannot be replicated or reproduced.
GoldhandClanCoin.jpg
Tungdil's First Coin
According to legend, this coin was payment for the first of Tungdil's many trades and barters, swindles and schemes. The coin shines in the light just like it did when Tungdil first held it, the test of time have not left their mark here. A simple test of one's bite could prove that it isn't wood, nor is it stone. The specific alloy of the coin is unknown, but is incredibly strong and resistant to all kinds of fatigue, corrosion, and wear. While this coin bears no magical power, it holds a certain amount of admiration and value amongst the Goldhand Clan. Intricate carvings have been laid around the edges of the coin, adding to it's beauty and worth. Something of this quality and alloy could not be reproduced, not by any normal descendant.
TwinSwordsGoldhand.png
The Twin Swords of Parathak and Krest
Although the origins and description of these two swords are unknown, they still serve as a much sought after relic of the Goldhands. It is a mystery what had happened to these swords whether they perished with their original wielder; past Clanlord Conan Goldhand, or if they were bartered off in some trade.
tungdils helm.png
Tungdil's Helm
An incredibly forged artifact, Tungdil's Helm is a piece of armor never seen before by the eyes of descendants. The armor piece made to fit perfectly the head of dwarf, the metal upon it is blacker than night itself with golden stars dotting all over it. Dwarven runes and inscriptions would be seen in various places around the helmet. The armor piece possesses a powerful enchant that requires the wearer to have the rest of the armor equipped on them, for the enchantment to activate. The powers of the enchantment are unknown to outsiders, known by a select few of the Goldhand clan, alongside its elders. Tungdil's Helm goes under a different name by those knowing it, a name said to be given by Tungdil Goldhand himself.
tungdils chestplate.png
Tungdil's Breastplate
One of the most important parts of Tungdil's armor set, Tungdil's Breastplate. A legendary armor piece forged blacker than the night itself and with golden stars dotting all over it. Dwarven runes and inscriptions can be seen to hug the armor in various parts, with some standing out from the rest. The breastplate possesses a secret enchantment that can be activated through a secret trigger, kept hidden from outsiders by the Clan Father of Goldhands alongside a few select people, part of which are the clan's elders. Tungdil's Breastplate goes under a different name by those knowing it, a name said to be given by Tungdil Goldhand himself.
tungdils leggings.png
Tungdil's Leggings
Tungdil's Leggings are a set of leggings with a design unlike any other. Forged by Tungdil Goldhand himself, the leggings are as well black as the night dotted with golden stars all across it, accompanied by dwarven runes and inscriptions in various places. One set of runes would seem to stand out from the other, which would be its enchantment. Upon a secret trigger, the enchantment would activate, casting the spell that it's bound onto the leggings. Tungdil's Leggings go under a different name by those knowing it, a name said to be given by Tungdil Goldhand himself upon finishing forging them.
tungdils greaves.jpg
Tungdil's Greaves
Tungdil's Greaves are a set of greaves essential to the armor, rendering its functionality less efficient if the user would not wear them. The greaves would be blacker than the night with golden stars dotted all across it with dwarven runes and inscriptions coating the perfect pair, with specific runes standing out from the rest. Upon its secret activation, an enchantment would activate, casting a secret spell that the greaves possess. Tungdil's Greaves go under a different name by those knowing it, secret being kept tightly around the clan. The greaves's name is said to be given by Tungdil Goldhand himself.

Most recently the Goldhands have supported the dissolution of the Noble Council with the election of King Hiebe and the restoration of a powerful monarchy to once again lead the Dwarves to a golden age.

Anthos and Elysium

Nothing much can be said about Elysium. It was said that Thoak Goldhand established a small settlement outside of the Urguan Hold near the mountains for those seeking work outside of the small hold. It was great while it lasted, however most of it was wiped out due to the great volcano nearby erupting sending the village to its fiery doom.

Athera

The clan has been mostly inactive, with only a few Goldhands trying to revive the clan. The latest Goldhand, Finian, rose to the challenge of trying to officially revive the splintered clan.

Vailor

Atlas

As the dwarves finally arrived on Atlas, Goldhand clan found themselves in the Kingdom of Kaz'Ulrah where there were only 3 clan fathers untill the falling of the kingdom. It was first Dwifur Goldhand, later on to be assassinated in the throne room. Thoak Goldhand, later becoming the High King of Kaz'Ulrah, and the last king of it. And the last Clan Father and the current one, Hekkaes Goldhand which led the clan in the war of Kaz'Ulrah.

Almaris
