This page relates to lore, you can find the original lore here.

Gatrov are the only known inferi that are incapable of ascending into higher demons. They are warped products of soul essence that once belonged to the Aspects, such as plants, fungi and fae.[1]

All botany in Moz Strimoza is made up from Gatrov, though even plants in the Mortal Realms can be turned by higher inferi, Malflame, or rakir.

Properties

The Gatrov speak among themselves and with other inferi using Ilzakarn, and any Druid attempting communion would find themselves met with silence. No creatures willingly wander into the corrupted Gatrov forests. The Gatrov do not cooperate with the will of the Aspects, nor do they have properties useful for Alchemy. They are incapable of producing a sufficient amount of maleus to satisfy infernals or to create rakir, though forests are frequently visited by Zevn and Zekul, when they find themselves away from Moz Strimoza.
