On the 17th of the Sun’s Smile in the year of our Lord, 1532, an assembly has been held to resolve the dynastic feud between the houses Falkenrath and Roswell. With substantial incriminating evidence it has been decided that the disgraced priest Augustus of Alsace, known by his pen-name ‘Thomas Aquinas’, has been ruled guilty on charge of treason; his punishment to be decided by the High Pontiff Everard II himself in conjunction with the Emperor.

Guile de Sola, Imperial Champion of Oren and Duke of Istria has been claimed by GOD through fatal complications with the gout. Without a proper heir to succeed, the title has fallen unto Philip de Sola, grandson of Titus de Sola through his eldest son Clement and nephew of the Emperor. The Lords of Istria and or their representatives bent their knees and reaffirmed their oaths of allegiance to the ducal seat. He is also formally betrothed to the Emperor's eldest daughter, the Crown Princess Philippa Maria. Due to the youthful disposition of the newly appointed duke, a regency council has been formed to rule Istria for the interim, until the boy comes of age at 16 in the year 1538. The body of the council is comprised of the following:

Vanderus de Sola, youngest son of Titus and President of the Regency Council

  • Almeric Brant, interim Constable of Istria
  • His Right Honor, Arthur Roswell, Count of Pompourelia
  • His Right Honor, Octavius Falkenrath, Count of Laria
  • Her Imperial Majesty Adelheid Horen

Finally, while the maintenance of Felsen continues, the Imperial Court of Oren has been temporarily translocated to the keep of Dour Watch, ducal capital of Istria.

IN NOMINE DEI, His Imperial Majesty John I Frederick of the House of Horen, by the Grace of GOD, Holy Orenian Emperor and rightful Emperor of Aeldin, forever August, Apostolic King in Oren, of Savoy, Westphalia, Kaedrin, Haense, Renatus and Salvus, Defender of the Faith, Grand Duke of Kaedrin, Duke of the Crownlands, Carimea, Erochland, Kingston and Leone, Margrave of Greater Kreden, Count of Felsen, Louvain, Beauclair, Wett and Metz, Sovereign of Humanity and Protector of the Elves, etcetera
