Weapon Crafting

In order to craft weapons and armor, you will need a smithy table which in LOTC is modified in order to make custom crafts.

You are unable to craft PvP weapons and armor with a normal crafting table

Weapon Classifications

Each weapon has a different attack speed, damage output, and effect provided.

Slashing

Slashing weapons are those which include Short Swords that can be dual-wielded, and Longswords are those which are most similar to the standard Iron sword and Greatswords. Each sword type has a different attack speed and deals with different damage. Shortsowrds being the fastest attacking weapons well dealing the least damage. Well, Great swords deal the most damage but have a long sword timer.

    • Damage: 4.8
    • Attack Speed: 1.9
    • Effect: 15% Bleed (22.5% if duel wielding)
    • Duel Wielded: Yes
    • Special conditions: None
  • Longswords
    • Damage: 7.2
    • Attack Speed: 2.5
    • Effect: 15% Bleed
    • Duel Wielded: No
    • Special conditions: None
  • Greatswords
    • Damage: 8.4
    • Attack Speed: 3
    • Effect: 20% Bleed
    • Duel Wielded: No
    • Special conditions: None

Blunt

Blunt weapons are classed as weapons that do blunt damage and include Maces and Warhammers.

    • Damage: 6
    • Attack Speed: 2.5
    • Effect: 15% Stun (22.5 if duel wielding)
    • Duel Wielded: Yes
    • Special conditions: none
  • War Hammers
    • Damage: 8.4
    • Attack Speed: 3
    • Effect: 20% Stun
    • Duel Wielded: No
    • Special conditions: None

Piercing

Piercing weapons are those which include Spears, Bows, and Crossbows. Well Bows and Crossbows are long-ranged, and spears are meant for close-quarters combat

    • Damage: 7.2
    • Attack Speed: 2.5
    • Effect: 15% Pierce
    • Duel Wielded: No
    • Special conditions: None
  • Bows
    • Damage: 6 (12 half hearts)
    • Attack Speed: Normal Bow Loading
    • Effect: 15% Pierce
    • Duel Wielded: No
    • Special conditions: Needs Arrows
  • Crossbows
    • Damage: 8 (16 half hearts)
    • Attack Speed: Normal Crossbow Loading
    • Effect: 15% Pierce
    • Duel Wielded: No
    • Special conditions: Needs Arrows

Splintering

Splintering weapons are those which can use the splinter effect. These weapons include War axes and Great War axes.

    • Attack Speed: 2.25
    • Effect: 15% Splinter (22.5 duel wielding)

    • Special conditions: None
  • Great War Axes
    • Damage: 8.4
    • Attack Speed: 3
    • Effect: 50% Splinter

Dismount

Dismounting weapons are classified as those with the dismounting effect. These weapons include Lances and Pikes. Pikes can be dual wield but may only use used on foot. Lances can only be used on horses.

    • Damage: 7.2
    • Attack Speed: 3
    • Effect: Dismounting 40% (60% if duel wielding)
    • Duel Wielded: Yes
    • Special conditions: Can not be on a horse
  • Lances
    • Damage: 6
    • Attack Speed: 3
    • Effect: Discounting 50%
    • Duel Wielded: No
    • Special conditions: Can only be used on Horse

Weapon Classification Effects

Bleeding

Granted by Slashing weapons and represented with a poison effect, it can bleed a max of three hearts, and can not kill alone. A metallic scraping noise is heard when the effect occurs.

Stun

Granted by Blunt weapons and is represented with a Slowness III effect for a second. The sound of an anvil being placed is heard when the effect occurs.

Piercing

Granted by Piercing weapons and deals 5% of the total durability of that item, this effect will occur randomly to equipped armor. The sound of hitting a blaze is heard when the effect occurs.

Splinter

Granted by Splintering weapons and deals 100 durability damage to shields when the effect is applied. The sound of hitting an iron golem is heard when the effect occurs.

Dismount

Granted by Dismount weapons and deals additional damage to mounts, and will have a chance to dismount the rider from a horse.

Armor Classifications

All armor has the same protection value, the only differences between the three are the buffs provided.

Platemail

Platemail armor looks like regular leather armor and provides 5% Piercing Resistance.

Chainmail

Chainmail armor looks like regular leather armor and provides 5% Bleed Resistance.

Gambeson

Gambeson armor looks like regular leather armor and provides 5% Stun Resistance.
