Queen Charlotte I Staunton, also known Charlotte Francesca Staunton, was the fifth ruler of the Kingdom of Courland. She inherited the kingdom after the disappearance of her brother, in 1638. She disbanded and dissolved the kingdom a year later, in 1639. Her only act was bringing Canonism back to Courland with the influence of her uncle Charles. In the decades that followed her departure, the former Queen paid for a ship of her own, sailing the seas and acquiring a meager crew to profit as tradesman. During her ventures, she would be married by a Canonist priest to one Karl Summers, a male descendant of House of d'Amaury. This union would produce a single son, Joseph. Charlotte, living to the advanced age of 107, would pass away on a small island keep owned by her family that sat just off the shoreline of Arcas. Her son and several retainers would note that her rage at the revival of Courland and the continued betrayals of the Baden and Devereux lines were what drove her to her expiration.
