The Battle of the Riviän Plains or the Battle of the Red Snow was the last battle of the Blackreach Uprising, the civil war between the Houses of Hartcold and Cantwell that was fought on the most southern part of Atlas. Fought on 9th Sun's Smile 1685, the battle was won by the Barony of Blackreach. Their leader, William Jameson, Count of Blackreach became the new ruler of the Riviän lands by his victory. His opponent Thomas, Duke of Riviä retreated from the field of battle when all was lost to the City of Retenburg.
