The Battle of Blodskogr was the first major battle between the Kingdom of Norland and Grand Kingdom of Urguan during the War of Grudges. The battle resulted in a decisive Urguani victory.

Prelude

After the previous king, Arytom I went into a coma. Donovan Ruric took up the mantle as King of Norland. Finding himself put into a large war with Urguan, and refusing to bend the knee to the Dwarves, Donovan sent a small force to meet the large dwarven army with the intent of stopping or slowing their aggression.

Battle

The battle begun in the early morning the large legions of dwarven soldiers standing in perfect formation just awaiting the order. Soon after eventually completing the necessary preparations for the battle, the order was given and the dwarven Legions charged towards the small Norlandic militia force, many soldiers bearing Ruric colors were stationed up in the treetops tasked with bowing down as many dwarven legionaries as possible, this plan worked effective for as long as there was men to station up in the trees, the majority of the Norlandic force charged out to meet the large Dwarven army and were soon forced to retreat or slaughtered, they made an attempt to flee into the forest, many being cut down by the Dwarven cavalry, thus ending the battle resulting in a major victory for the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, wasting no time the dwarven armies marched forward in pursuit of the fleeing Norlandic troops.

Aftermath

After the major victory the dwarven army trailed the fleeing Norlandic soldiers to a small fortress bordering the Norlandic island capital of The Krag. The Grand King knew that if he was to take the Norlandic capital, he would have to take the fortress. The dwarven army began the necessary preparations for a siege
