Antonio Marvolo Rivera, also known as Antonio the Vindicated, Antonio the Divider or The Red King and regally known as Antonio I, is the only son of King Cesar of Hyspia and was the Second King of Hyspia. He, along with Francisco Altamirano, is responsible for the dividing event known as the Hyspian Schism which separated Hyspia in two temporarily before the Kingdom was reunited under his Son, Cesar II of Hyspia.

Birth and early life

Antonio was born to King Cesar and an unknown mother, presumably a woman named Maria Sanchez. Immediately after his birth, Cesar recognized him as his legitimate Son and heir, and would end up being the only child Cesar would ever father. Having been born in 1790, He spent five years of his life with his Father inside the Hyspian capital of Tierra Natal within the Arcas wildlands. With Cesar's assassination mid 1795, he was quickly spirited away by Peralien Mirthsense to Norland where he would be kept protected for the next three years until he turned 8. After his 8th birthday, Antonio was taken from Norland by Hyspian Separatists who wished to separate from Osanora and restore Hyspian rule. Antonio was brought to Osanora where the Hyspians widely accepted the young boy as their leader and Cesar's successor. He had his regent and advisors appointed to help him oversee Hyspia until he came of age, and his advisors helped to organize meetings with Sutica, Osanora, and the leadership of the Canonist church.

Early Reign as Prince

As he had not been crowned and was not scheduled to until he was fifteen, he was somewhat restricted in his powers by his Regent and Advisors. Nonetheless, he attended and organized a meeting with a Cardinal of the canonist church and members of House Barclay who both sought to help the Prince gain a settlement for Hyspia. After accepting the Church's help, they together organized a meeting with the Sutican Trade King, where they discussed the wrongdoings of Osanora. The meeting ended with Sutica deciding to take no action to help or harm Osanora or Hyspia, and instead told them to organize a meeting between themselves. Antonio later went back to Osanora, where he ordered the formation and organization of the Hyspian Nationalist Army, which was made to replace the Rivera Noble Guard.

Exile from Osanora

For reasons of religious differences, Hyspia and Prince Antonio were exiled from Osanora by its Baron. As a result, Antonio used the treaty his Father signed with the Kingdom of Norland years before in order to request sanctuary within its borders. He got into contact with the leaders of Norland and was able to establish an enclave within the capital city.

Religious conversion and the Hyspian Schism

For many years, Antonio lived in Varhelm with his fellow Hyspians and slowly he became influenced by the Red Faith and its principles. Soon, Antonio began drifting from the Canonist church which he believed to be using his people for their own betterment. After persuasion from Caedric I, Antonio was finally convinced to leave the Canonist church and to join the Red Faith. As an immediate consequence, House Altamirano abandoned Antonio and fled south to the lands of Sutica. After several years of traded insults, the Hyspians finally made peace with one another in private with both agreeing to leave each other alone and for Antonio to be recognized as King of Hyspia.

Settlement of Nueva Tierra

After many years of negotiations and waiting, Antonio was finally given the former Radaghastian lands by the Crown of Norland. Antonio would be allowed to be called the King of Hyspia and given the title of Protector of the Hyspian People as well as being left alone for the most part in exchange for Hyspian fealty to the Norlandic banner. While fealty came as an uneasy subject to most Hyspians, Antonio reassured his people that history would not repeat itself and never again would the Hyspians need to fear foreign tyranny siting the many similarities between Hyspia and Norland. After surveying the lands of the abandoned village, Antonio deemed it safe to begin moving in the Hyspians. Soon, Antonio found himself needing to construct more houses than expected in order to meet the demand of the migrating Hyspians. Currently Antonio resides within his estate inside the village and it is rumored he intends to build a keep on the hill next to the village. Not long afterwards, Antonio met and fell in love with Sofia Mendez, a member of House Mendez and the cousin of Carlos Mendez. After two years, the pair organized a wedding and fathered a boy named Cesar II of Hyspia, however the Wedding itself would never occur.

Escalation of the Schism and Death

Very soon afterwards, word of Francisco Altamirano being crowned as a pretender king in the land of Sutica reached the King. This report enraged Antonio severely, who immediately began plotting to storm the keep in which the pretender stayed in. Not long after, Antonio would find himself the father of Cesar II of Hyspia, which he named after his Father. His time with his newborn son would be cut short, as only a year later the claimant Francisco would be captured and executed by himself. This execution of a pretender, albeit a canonist cardinal, set in motion a chain of events which led to the Kingdom of Norland being pressured into ordering the King's execution by its canonist allies, mainly Haense and Sutica. While Guards were sent to bring him in for an execution, Caedric I came to Antonio offering his old friend the chance for an honorable death in the eyes of the Allfather. After a brief duel, Caedric stabbed Antonio through the heart which killed the young man in a matter of minutes. Even in death, Halvar I ordered his corpse to be hung from the Ashwood in order to make a public example of the young King.
